In 2014, Mediative undertook an eye-tracking research study to discover if the way people look at listings on a search engine results page (SERP) on a desktop has changed over the past 10 years. One of the key findings was that people no longer read listings horizontally in the same way as before – instead, they tend to scan down the left side of the listings, more vertically, like on a mobile device.
Naturally, at Mediative, we wanted to learn more about mobile behaviour, specifically after these findings on the desktop. In this follow-up study, we replicated the study on an iPhone to determine the key differences in searching behaviour between desktops and smartphones.
We anticipate this study being released in November 2015. Request a copy now and you will be among the first to receive it upon release!
